My whole life I have been telling stories. I take solace in storytelling, I find it is not only entertaining and enriching for another person, but it also helps me learn about myself. When I look through the camera it does not create a barrier between me and the person or thing I am shooting. Instead the camera is a conduit that allows me to tell a story about what I see and about myself. While the image may be of an old man or building, it also is a picture of me. With every photo I take I learn something about what I am shooting and myself.
